Hi,
I am working in a SAP XI support project.
I need to give a report/presentation on how XI's performance over the last 6months or 1 year.
Please suggest me how the report could like and what could be the parameters to be included...
Also, do share your exp.....about the similar situations.
Thanks,
Jaya
You can get these details from RWB --> Performance Monitoring and then get the details as per your time limits.
If there was any customization/ optimization done in any of the interfaces then may be you can include the performance details before and after the change.
What errors where encountered and how it impacted and what solution was implemented, etc
Regards,
Abhishek.

how many messges were successfull/failed in a month or so ..?
This can be done in Message Monitoring....you can search for messages with Status (Successful, Containing Error, etc)
consolidated information like some parameters about the performance of XI
If you have not tried it then in Performance Monitoring --> Display (Overview Individually) --> Time Interval (This month, Last Month, this Year, Last Year, etc).....it will give you a good amount of info of various parameters (like processing time, message size, mode)
Regards,
Abhishek.
Hi Jaya,
You can goto performance monotoring and select display option as over view individually and give the processing mode, time interval (you can give interface, party and namespace also) then click on start.
Then you will get the unique msg id, file size, processing time, time stamp.. these details you will get it.
i am not sure about the success and failed msgs, i think it will display only the succesful messages.
Regards
Ramesh
As suggested you can check the message statistics in 'Performance Monitoring' in RWB.
Also refer the following Performance check guide. You can check few of the parameters (ex: ST03N,ST06) and compare the results with the optimum values given.
If you have Early Watch Alert in place, you can generate a report with these details.

Hi JayaGupta,
XI/PI Performance, Is something very critical aspect of any Consultant.
I suggest you below activites...
1. First and Foremost, do you have EWA (Early Watch Alert) setup-up for your PI environment? If YES you have almost everything in one place to preset to the management/client. EWA helps in providing below data
a. System Performance
b. Workload Distribution
c. SAP System Operating
d. Database Administration Aspects
e. Authorization, XI Checks
f. Java VM Memory Performance
on to of all, it even gives you very detailed analsis of how each interface in the PI processing messages, processing time, volume and Workload distribution interms of ABAP - Transaction Codes/ Background Jobs.
2. If not EWA configured in your environment, you still can approach SAP to get a report.
You need to use SCCDN trasnaction to take help from SAP on this regards.
3. If not option 1, 2 then please perform below activites
a. Capture How CPU performance has been in the system
b. Capture how Memory Utilization in the system (average utilization)
c. How the database growth statistics
d. Daily message processing statistics
e. Monthly message processing statistics
f. Average Message Processing statistics
g. Check if you want to present, scenario specific (i.e sender & receiver component base
And Ofcourse many more aspect of PI can be prepared to present as performance check or system health check indicators.
so let me know if you need any further instruction on any above mentioned or anything else specificaly.
I hope this helps you.
Regards
Sekhar
