Workitem is running quite a long time

Hi There,

In my custom workflow I have one item running from a long time. There is a custom method assigned to this task and to be executed in background.

Please suggest me how I can stop this and rerun the same step.

There must be some problem in your custom method , like infinite loop.

Check if you are getting entry in SM50 [Backgroud entry] and then select that entry and Process-> cancel without core.

After that execute the method alone in foreground and find out the error.

I couldn't find any background processors running in SM50. Can I stop the workitem and reprocess it?

Execute RSWEWWDHMSHOW and check if you can cancel the background process.

Check with Basis persons if they can help you out to terminate the process.
