Checking for dependency of archiving objects

Hi,

I understand that we can define and display the sequence using network graphic.

I did a test and realized that the system did not check for the sequence during the actual archiving (both test and production mode).

May I know whether SAP is capable of checking the dependency before archiving the selected archiving object ?

Thanks.

Hi Siew,

Please refer to SAP note 391350 for information about network graphic. The sequence specified by the network graphic is 'good to follow' as described in the note.

Some of the archive programs gives information about the dependencies in the archive log. Classic example is when you try to archive a material master; it will list out the causes (dependencies) for which the material master could not be archived.

Hope this helps,

Naveen

Hello

You can check the dependece documents, as mentioned by Naveen, in the material master records, there are many dependences with plants, purchasing documents, here you must follow the order found in network graphic in order to file all documents related. As long as they are closed or deleted indicator.
