Hi,
can some body provide me guidelines as to what are the testing requirement after upgrading the O/S from 32 bit to 64 bit. We are running ECC 5.0, BI7.0, PI 7.0 and Ep6.0 on win 2003
Thanks
Thanks for every one who have taken time to answer me questions

Thanks for your answers , but it does not quite answer my question
Do we need to any functional testing. If so why. Since Kernel is changed do we need to test DBSL functionality , TP and other OS related stuffs.
What would be testing requirement for Java stack as JAVA Application code spread over file system (like SDM) plus DB
> Do we need to any functional testing. If so why.
No - you answered that question yourself. The kernel is changed, not the application.

You'll do that implicitly. If the system comes up after the migration the transport tools will work also.

Make sure you adapt the parameters accordingly to a 64bit environment and use the correct JDK (the 64bit, not the 32bit). Since the Java code is platform independent there's nothing to check from application.
