Data Transfer after implementing new Chart of Accounts

Hello

Good Day!

We are running SAP ECC 6 R3 (Oracle , Windows ) ABAP Stack only , Soon we are going to implement new Chart of Account in our system. I believe its near to new implementation. I am representing Basis Area, I would like to know how we can migrate our existing Master / transactional data into new System?

Can TDMS or Data transfer Workbench help us in this regard.

Have some body experienced with this situation.

Hi Aqib-

You can use a TDMS time based scenario (TDTIM) to transfer CoA to your systems.

Thanks for the reply.

Have you experienced that? Kindly share some more knowledge with me or provide any link for the documentation / reference.

If we used TDMS time based scenario as you advised, wouldnu2019t it effect already on available Master and Transactional data?

Yes it will delete your pre-existing master, transactional and config data. But based on your situation would it not be okay, as long as you get your sender client with the CoA in the receiver client?

However, from your requirement, you could do a BPL scenario with an empty business context and then chose to transfer only the tables KTOPL, SAKNR (Chart of accounts).

There is an operations guide available in the svc. marketplace which you may use.
