F4 help issue

hi

i am facing a error in my application,whenever i press f4 for a filed to get a value,than no value is selected frm the help,inspite my other values are also got refreshed frm the screen.

pls tell how to solve this & why its not picking up the value from the f4 help.

Did u write any code in the modifyview that refreshes or invalidates the nodes..

hi,

Which is the searrch help you are using ?

If dictionary, then please run in SE11 and check whther it is fetching values or not .

It may be that your table from which data is to be collected is empty.

its giving me the list of help values,but when i select 1 record & press OK,its not displaying in field,this is my issue,secondly,why after this even other manual value entered,are refreshed,my full screen is refreshed.

Hi,

In the dictionary help(SE11) is the paramter which you want to place it in the INPUT field is the export parameter or not....

The reason why its getting refreshed when you select some value in F4 help is you might have writen some code in modifyview which invalidates your nodes.

Please check that once.
