hi,
Can any one explain about how the quality score calculation based on Predefined Procedure. Is there any Q-Score Procedure based on no of Defects, If it is Just explain me the settings to be maintained in configuration and also in User level.Awaiting for your favorable reply. Thanks in advance.
GM
Dear Muthamil
The share of scrap for No of defects is bit different. Make the following setting
1) Make a Qualitative Mic and select in control indicator no of Defects and Share scrap. Do not chose Characteristic attribute in this case
2) In inspection plan insert this MIC and in the general setting choose Fraction calculation - 20 Poisson distribution
3) create an inspection lot with quantity 10 . In result recording you will get no of defects to enter. You enter the no of defects and according in Usage decision you can see the share of scrap and quality score.
I checked how the share of scrap formula but couldnt get through . I think It is dependent on Poisson distribution
Quality score is also determined with share of scrap , with a formula. you may check this function module for the formula
KQD_LOT_SCRAP
If you are able to invest some time in getting the formula in mathematical means it would be helfpul. you might have to take the time of ABAPer also

Dear Muthamil
In Q score Procedure quality score will be updated before giving the UD code for the inspection lot. In your case kindly check whether the quality score gets updated before the UD score.
And also in the UD screen automaticaly the share of scrap will be available. Let me know what is getting updated there

Dear Muthamil
1) Maintain for the inspection type Quality score method as from share of scrap
SPRO > QM>Quality Inspection > inspection lot Creation > Default values for inspection types> anyinspection type > inspection lot completion tab > Quality score procedure
2) Identify inspection characteristics as relevant for scrap in their control indicators in QS21
3) Assign suitable procedures for estimating the scrap share to the characteristics in the task list : This will be available in the general view in QP01 for the MIC. maintain 30 normal distribution.
Hope this helps

Hi Gajesh,
I Tried the way you said , that is i assigned the Q-Score in Material master of the material and in Inspection Plan for the MIC i assigned formula 30 in General data tab. Then i did result recording, in that i reject the 1 character and save the result. During UD the Q-Score displayed as 100. Even i reject the 3 character in a particular operation also itz shows the Q-Score as 100. But i need based on the rejection of characters in a particular lot the Q-Score will be calculated. can you help me in the particular scenario.
Muthamil
Dear Muthamil
Here is the basic definition and settings for quality score
score are maintained for quantitative valuation of the quality of inspection lots.
1) They have to be first maintained in the client level setting
SPRO > QM> Maintain settings at client level> You need to maintain the highest quality score (100) and lowest quality score (1) system doesnt take 0. also Lower limit for good quality (90)
2) it is maiinly used in the selected sets for usage decision
QS51/ 03 catalogs for each UD code you can give a Quality score. So while you are giving UD system picks up this score and update the same for inspection lot , material, vendor, customer as applicable.
You can give 100 as quality score for clean acceptance, 1 for complete rejection, may be 50 for partial acceptance etc.
You can check for the reports in the information system.MCXE, MCVE, MCOE
3) There are different quality score adoption procedure ( defined by SAP)
SPRO > QM>Quality Inspection > inspection lot completion >Define quality score procedure
Share of scrap in lot
Maximum share of scrap for chars
Minimum quality score for chars
Weighted from share of scrap for chars
Weighted from quality score of chars.
From usage decision code
You can choose anyone and can be customised for inspection types these is done in
SPRO > QM>Quality Inspection > inspection lot Creation > Default values for inspection types> anyinspection type > inspection lot completion tab > Quality score procedure.
4) If you want to use quality score procedures that access the weighted shares of defects for the characteristics, you must maintain the characteristic weights.
SPRO > QM>quality Planning >Basic data> Inspection characteristic > define characteristic weighing > weight factor
If you want to use quality score procedures that access the quality score of the characteristics, you must maintain the defect classes.
SPRO > QM>quality Planning >Basic data>Catalog> Define defect class
If you want to use quality score procedures, in which the system calculates the share of scrap, you must:For this a) scrap share have been defined in Customizing .b)Assign suitable procedures for estimating the scrap share to the characteristics in the task list c)Identify inspection characteristics as relevant for scrap in their control indicators.
Please let me know your requirements in detail

dear gajesh,
i know the basic things but i want to know the calculation part of the Q-Score based on defect number, which formula i have to use and what are basic settings i have to maintain. Please reply me if you know.
Thanks,
