Hi,
What are the basic difference in terms of funcationalities beween the Application controlled workflows and Process Controlled workflows. What are the new feature in the new BRF (Process Based workflows).Any specific reason its being refeerred to as Process Controlled workflow.
Thanks,
Venky
Hi,
The main point is TCO. When customers build custom workflow, consultant is required.
Application-Controlled Workflow - Workflow consultant who knows SAP Business Workflow is required.
Process-Controlled Workflow - ABAP consultant can be handled without SAP Business Workflow development tools.
SRM 7.0 supports both Application-Controlled Workflow and Process-Controlled Workflow but new functions are coming for Process-Controlled Workflow only. Recommended positioning is,
Application-Controlled Workflow - Upgrade customer
Process-Controlled Workflow - New customer/ New implementation

Masa
