INSTALLATION WEB AS 6.40

Hi All,

Do we need to install Web AS 6.40 and XI (EP, MI, BW etc) on the same server or we have install both the application on diffrent server. Plz relpy asap.

Hi Amit

XI System need Unicode ABAP System (u can't use SAP

Buisness system for installing i.e CRM) and JAVA system as

ADD-IN Installation.

Main thing is installing EP. If u want install EP on stand alone Java server (WAS 6.40) than u can't use XI WAS for installing EP.

if u have enough hardware resources than Install EP system on other server.

U can use NW ABAP system as BW but u have to import BI content using SAINT.

the installation is as about company policy. so select which option u want to use.

Thanx a lot for reply actually scenario is we have R/3 is already installed (with another legacy system which is based on Java) so we want to for XI, so wot would be the best option to do this WAS 6.40 and XI 3.0 on the same system?

Hi,,

You can Install on the same(based on your hardware)

Install Unicode ABAP 640 System

Install Java 640 Add-in on the above ABAP System

Install XI
