For outgoing phone calls, your SAP system communicate via the RFC you are trying to create.

This will not work until the SAPphone server is registered at your SAP system.

So, first of all, you need to install and activate the SAPphone server.

There as a overview picture of the communication between SAP and SAPphone here:

Read this documentation for more information about SAPphone:

Hello,

I just registered the program and the RFC Outbound TEST is OK.

If the RFC is ready do you still need TAPI?

Kind Regards

SAPphone is the "translation program" between SAP and TAPI.

The second document I refered to says:

Prerequisites

The following components must be installed:

- Telephony hardware (for example, telephone exchange, or telephony server for a central or client-server installation)

- Telephony software (for example, from the manufacturer of the telephone system or a third-party product)

- SAPphone server (for the connection via TAPI)

Hello,

I understand,

I will then configure TAPI in my windwos 2003 server and I suppose my PBX provider should have a special software to comunicate ,right?

that is correct. the PBX vendor should be able to install TAPI, but there could be a license fee involved (not from SAP though).
