Hello
I wander what is recommended/typical size of /usr/sap/<SID> filesystem
That depends on the system usage type.
In our BW Devlopment server ( Central system) we have 10 GB. For Quality and production ( both distributed system) , on central instance we have 13 and 15 GB respectively. You can free up lots of space by deleting log files

Hi,
Check SAP Note 16513 - File system is full - what do I do?
Thanks

Hi Jan,
Please refer to corresponding installation guide for recommended size.
It is recommended to keep 2GB for ABAP and 2GB for JAVA system. But i would keep it much more than this, so that in case if the log files are not cleaned up at regular intervals, then the size of this filesystem might grow might end in a bottleneck.
So i would recommend to keep this sufficiently large say around 10GB if you can afford space.
Cheers......,
Raghu
