SRM - MDM query

Hi all,

We are integrating SRM & MDM via XI/PI. Kindly let me know what services should be run in MDM import server so that the xml file transferred from XI/PI replicates the data( product categories, products etc.) in MDM repository.

Hi Nikhil,

SAP delivers the follwoing mappings for the Import Server:

MDMContractDataProductCategory_SRM.xml

MDMContractDataProductID_SRM.xml

MDMContractDataSupplierPartNumber_SRM.xml

MDMContractDataTransmissionERP.xml

MDMInfoRecordDataTransmissionERP.xml

MDMProductDataTransmissionSRM.xml

MDMSupplierListTransmissionSRM.xml

LT_Currencies_SRM_ERP.xml

LT_ProductGroups_SRM_ERP.xml

LT_PurchasingOrganization_ERP.xml

LT_UOM_ISO_Code_SRM_ERP.xml

If you need an own one, than first you have to do the mapping in the Import Manager, then save this import mapping. Than this can be used for the further mapping in the Import Server.

Is there any ERP in your system landscape?

Which system is the leadling master data ? ERP or SRM or MDM ?

Hi Masa,

We do have an ERP system as our backend.

We are importing the following from the ERP

1> Purchase info record

2> Contracts

We are importing the following from SRM

1> Products

2> Product categories

3> Vendors

We are able to create the xml files and they are on the MDM server. Pl let us know how to take this file and push this into the repository. What services need to be run on the MDM server ( Our MDM is on Unix ) to enable the pushing of XML files into repository.

Hi,

Try to import the XML file in MDM Import Manager. You can save the mapping file.

Then create a port in MDM console and assign the mapping file.

MDM Import server will import automatically when PI put the file in incoming folder.
