HOW TO POPULATE A ODS...

HI GURUS,

I Have a report requirement whose fields i have identified the datasources like

i have two datasource coming from production planning

2LIS_AF_PABSSI

2LIS_AF_PABDSI

and three fields coming from 0MATERIAL_ATTR.

and few are coming from 2lis_02_itm and one more thing the fields available in 2lis_02_itm are also available in 2lis_02_scl.

so my doubt is that how i am going to include all this in one data target

1. do i need to include these master data attributes to the data target and load the master data using the datasource i mentioned above.

2. how can i combine the production planning and purchasing data 2gether.

please give me ur inputs

hi Neel,

check the standard delivered objects from sap.

how it's data flow.

1. i think you won't need to include attribute of master data in data target, you can turn on them as navigational attribute.

2. consider to create multiprovider on these data targets (or check if there is delivered business content).

you mean to say that instead of creating a ODS and combining them i can create a multiprovider on the standard data targets and use them. Right

so when i use this process then their won't be any trouble of the logic i mentioned in my above post like

assigning the quantity to right production order

You can populate an ODS from several sources, just define the update rules. Be sure that you choose the right key fields when creating the ODS and the right update mode for your data fields (overwrite or add)

thanks for the inputs u r right

but actually i want only receipt qty and issue qty from 2lis_02_itm

and the rest r from the 2lis_af_pabssi and 2lis_af_pabsdi

and only MRP controll, target group, division from material_attr datasource

how i am going to get all these fields relate to each other

for eg

how can i define quantity belongs to which production order and like wise MRP controll belongs to which material

i think i am clear in my doubt
