Retention Period for Archiving of billing document header

Hi,

Please guide me how can we reverse any document which is not yet archived but falls in the archiving period. Is it possible to reverse the billing documents in which end of billing period date falls in the archiving period.

Please suggest: Can we change the Archiving Dates (retention periods) for billing doc header and line items. Is this recommended or is this a valid activity?

Please guide.

Thanks and Regards

Have a look at the table TE026A/TE026B in which u can find the retention period for bill docs.U can change the retention period and try it out on the test system if possible, wont recommend to do the same in production system.

Hopefully this might help,

Thanks.

Hi,

Thanks for your reply please.

But while making changes to the retention period i am getting following message:

Diagnosis

A retention period has been entered for a profile value category, that

is shorter than that of the billing document headers.

This is an invalid entry, because you cannot archive profile values

before billing document headers.

System Response

The system does not permit you to save the retention period combination.

Procedure

Correct the retention period for the profile value category or the

corresponding billing document header category accordingly.

Please guide.

Thanks and Regards

In SPRO follow the path

SAP Utilities
-->Tools
   -->Archiving
-->Define Retention Period for Archiving Objects

Set ISU_PROFV retention period before you set the ISU_BILL and ISU_BILLZ.

I had the same issue, but the surprize is that the on the retention table for ISU_BILLZ there is no entry and the system let you modify only the retention period and not to add any other lines.

Any idea why there is no entry? And most important, how can I add the same entries as for ISU_BILL?

Should the corresponding customising entries not exist in your system then it is possible that they were not transported out of the system where the AOSP was imported (usually client 000). The entries for tables TE026A and TE026B should be copied from this original system to the system where you want to implement the archiving.

If the entries are also not in client 000, then please insert the following entries into the relevant tables:

TE026A

Mandt - ???

Object - ISU_BILLZ

Persist_time - 0365

TE026B

Mandt Object Charact Persist_time

??? ISU_BILLZ 4 0365

??? ISU_BILLZ 5 0365

??? ISU_BILLZ 6 0365

??? ISU_BILLZ 7 0365

Thank you! The solution was right!
