Inspection lot for movement type 542

Hi All

I am new to QM module and have requirement as follows:

I want to generate inspection lot whenever material returns from vendor (i.e. through movement type 542).

What all settings are required to be maintained for this starting from what inspection type to be mainteined in material master?

For movement type 542 i think the inspection lot generation is not possible. I checked in config for the inspection lot origin for 542 and found it blaank which means it is not possible. You may check the same in

SPRO > QM > Quality Inspection > Inspection Lot Creation > Inspection for Goods Movements>Movement Type/Update Control/Inspection Lot Origin> 542

Hi

No there is No such Inspection lot origin for mvt 542.

You may use either manual lot of 01 or customize your own inspection type with copy of 542

It was not inspection type .......Copy the existing mvt type 542 to some Z mvt type & maintain inspection lot origin here
