SAP's Long-term upgrade strategy

The DCOM connector was always bundled with the GUI upgrades so we had to test all of our DCOM apps whenever the GUI was upgraded. Is SAP planning to do the same with the .NET and Java connectors? If not, how are they going to roll out the new versions of these connectors?

Releases of SAP .NET Connector are not so tightly alligned to GUI versions, so the shipment is separated.

Customers that have access to SAP .NET Connector full version can distribute there product together with SAP .NET Connector runtime files freely in-house. ISVs are not allowed to ship SAP .NET Connector runtime files, but we provide a runtime setup, that the final customer can freely dowload and distribute.
