transfer data from DP to R/3

Dears,

I was wondering if you could solved my problem.

I activity only DP in APO, and I would like to transfer my forecast for products to R3.

Is this possible?

If it is, I was wondering if you could help me.

Hi Anka,

1) You can check the transferred data from DP to R/3 whether successful or

not can be tested through the job log /n/sapapo/mc8k transaction. If at all

any failure in transfer, it will display the error alongwith the location product

which did not get transferred.

2) For the error in transfer, it will also post the error in inbound queue of

R/3 as sysfail. You can overview all the errors in application logs display

in R/3 and take corrective actions

3) In R/3 using transaction md66, you can display all the PIRs transferred

from DP to R/3

HI Anka,

You would need to do the following steps:

1. Create a transfer profile, specifying the key figure which contains the forecast to be released to R/3.

2. Specify the R/3 version and the active version in the transfer profile

3. Create an activity and attach the transfer profile in that activity

3. Product/Location combinations have to be CIFed to APO to enable demand release to R/3

4. In addtion, you need to maintain a distribution definition at the location for which you are releasing the forecast. In distribution definition specify "planned independent requirements" for that particular location

5. Create a background job using the defined activity.

Hi Anka,

For transfering data from DP to R/3, you need to use

transaction code /SAPAPO/MC8T.

Here, you need to create an activity, with R/3

transfer profile and save the activity.

You assign this activity by create a job using

transaction /SAPAPO/MC8D and schedule this

job using transaction /SAPAPO/MC8G

Before executing the job, please ensure all the

queues are cleared from APO & R/3.

In R/3 you will be able to see the demand plan in the transaction md63.
