Postponing the RESCCC transaction - Advice needed

Former Member

Hello,

Our client has almost all modules of SAP implemented including RE-FX, even though they haven't yet used RE-FX fully. As a result there have been no costs that have been posted on the cost collectors in RE-FX. In spite of that, every month they would run the RESCCC for the Generate Cost Collector function. This report takes a long time to run. They run this transaction at every month end.

What they NOW plan to do is the following:

They have plans to start utilizing the RE-FX module fully from May'2010. Before that time there will NO costs that will be posted to any of the cost collectors. As such, they want to stop running the RESCCC till the end of May 2010.

The questions are:

1. Can they stop running RESCCC now and start again from end of May 2010?

2. If they do so, will the system behave properly in June 2010 when they run the transaction?

3. Are there any requirement that even if there is NO costs posted to the cost collector, one MUST still keep running the RESCCC so that continuity is maintained?

Regards,

Suvarghya Dutta

Hi

Hope you have resolved this already, otherwise, generating cost collectors would mean you are allowing cots to be posted into RE-FX using Settlement units. If there are no costs to be posted with an SU, then you do not need to run RECSSS.
