Preventing Users from accessing HTTP Ports on SAP Portal

Is there a way (without using firewalls) to prevent users from being able to access HTTP ports on the SAP Portal? i.e. only allowing them to access the HTTPS port, while still allowing the SAP BASIS team to access the HTTP ports.

You may talk to basis people to control through Logon Load balancing part.

Without a firewall, users could bypass the load balancing server.

You could possibly do this with a forward proxy, but that is not the same as protecting the port using firewalls as it can still be reached by requests from all the users but will only respond to the admins.
