Hello,
We have some custom developments by our development team in our JavaAs. Are there some reference materials or pointers on how they should write their logs and traces so that they may be viewed in NWA? What has to be done in NWA in order to get the logviewer to see the custom logs/traces?
Thank you for your time.
John
Hi
Certainly you can use API to direct logs to particular SAP directory from then use LOG VIEWER of NWA to access the log generated and use it for analysis.

Hi John Klaassen,
One pretty simple suggestion, ask the developers to write their tlogs to OS level file and then use 'LOG VIEWER' fom NWA to monitor these logs in better readable manner.
More to come as put my thou

So, are you saying that if they write their logs to some standard SAP log directories, that they will automatically be viewable in NWA?
Also, I have been reviewing documentation in the development areas of help.sap.com and have found recommendations for them to use SAP Logging API. That makes me wonder if using that will cause their logs to be available from within NWA.
Thanks for your help so far.
