Hi,
A company having depot sales, factory sales, return sales. Can I use standard Item for each like TAN,TANN,TAQ,TAP etc.So please give me the solution can I use standard item catagory or copy it & define new.
Thanks,
Raj....
Dear Raj,
YES. You can definitely use SAP Standard Item Categories for the scenarios's you have listed.
But if you want to change some of the setting in these item Categories then it is suggested to copy & create new Z-item Categories.
Because It is ot advisable to change SAP standard settings.
Buut if your Business process is very claerly defined & does not demand any change in SAP standard settings (which is generally not the case in India) the you can use the standard Item Categories...
Hope this helps..
Thanks,
Jignesh Mehta

Hi Rajt,
You can use Standard No Item Catogories. Nothing can be happen.
But if you use Z (copy as ) that will be suggestable.
In feature any new scenarious would come that should not disturbe your current business process if you use Z .

Yes you have the option to copy the standard item category or you can use the same if you don't want to make changes in it
