Change of massage type Name

Dear Gurus

I hope you can help me how to change Name of message type.

Which transaction shall I use?

Hi,

What do you mean by "change Name of message type."?

Message types are used to set system messages to appear as Warning or as Error, etc. For SD you can change V4 type messages from configuration.

You can do it from Tx: OVAH

Hi,

For all Sales related messages can be changed by using the T.Code "OVAH".

Before going to this T.code,click on the message to get the message number whilch is similarto "V4002".

All "V4" message types can be changed by "OVAH" T.Code.

In "OVAH" T.Code,Select that message and scroll right.Here you can change it from "E(Error) to W(Warning)".

Similarly all shipping related messages can be changed by using the T.Code "OVM1".

And finally all messages can be changed by "SE91" T.Code.

Enter the message class as the class of your message (In our example it is V4).

Enter the Message number if you know,else leave blank.

Click on Change.

Select that message and click on "Where-Used list".

Seelct programs and uncheck all.Enter.

Identify your program and change the letter before the message number.

We are trying to change message V4019 from Information to Error, but it does not appear in OVAH? Do yo know how we bring it in to OVAH to make the change?

To change Messages:

1. OVAH - V4 Type messages (Sales side)

2. OVM1 - VL Type (Shipping side)
