ABAP mapping

Folks,

I have one question , while executing ABAP mapping does the ABAP Engine makes any JCO calls to J2EE Engine ?

HI Manish,

ABAP Mapping is executed in the ABAP engine. But call for this is from Java Engine.

it's actually the other way round. the mappings are executed on the J2EE Engine (remember the starting point is the interface mapping which is a java object) and the J2EE engine than calls the ABAP engine in case an ABAP mapping program has been specified.
