Folks,
I have one question , while executing ABAP mapping does the ABAP Engine makes any JCO calls to J2EE Engine ?
Thanks

Sorry manish for last link that by mistake I paste it as frameset link and I wanted to paste content link
here it is
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/10/5abb2d9df242f6a62e22e027a6c382/content.htm
However Krishna has clarified all it in very short and nice.

it's actually the other way round. the mappings are executed on the J2EE Engine (remember the starting point is the interface mapping which is a java object) and the J2EE engine than calls the ABAP engine in case an ABAP mapping program has been specified. Further information on this can be found at http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/d2/58cd3b11571962e10000000a11402f/content.htm in section "Mapping Programs" at the bottom of the page.
Regards
Christine
