How to expose XI webservices to internet

Former Member

Hello experts,

What are the different ways of exposing an XI webservice to the internet?

We have a DMZ with IIS server and XI is our middleware system sitting on our internal network.

There might be more than one ways to do this. We initially though about using IIS ISAPI reverse proxy, but seems like SAP does not support IISProxy anymore. We do not have Webdispatcher installed on our DMZ or XI system. If we are to use Webdispatcher, which system should we install it in? XI system or DMZ?

Please share your thoughts. Any help is much appreciated.

Thanks

Karthik

Hi,

In our landscape, we have the web dispatcher installed on the DMZ and that helped us in taking a lot of load off XI. May be you can also do the same.

Thanks and Regards,

Sarath.

Thanks Sarath. We do not have webdispatcher installed on DMZ. We were trying to see if there are other ways to do this without any extra installation.

I haven't heard from anybody else. We're still exploring options.

Thanks

Karthik

Maybe you can install a proxy that would forward the requests to your engine inside your network
