Hi people,
I would like to know that when sap recommends partitioning the hard disk. To distribute binaries of SAP, database, database logs...
And How can calculate the virtual memory? In the installation guide I saw this:
ABAP central services instance (ASCS):
1 times RAM plus 1 GB
Database instance:
1.5 times RAM
Enqueue replication server instance (ERS):
1 times RAM plus 1 GB
Central instance:
1 times RAM plus 14 GB
Dialog instance:
1 times RAM plus 14 GB
More thanks

Virtual memory should be aprox 4 times the physical RAM.
The way the you partition your drives is entirely up to you.

Thanks for your answer Juan.
I always applied 3,5 times aprox for VM.
In the part of the distribution of the HDD, which is the typical distribution?
-O.S
-SAP binaries in one partition.
-D.B files in other.
-Logs D.B and memory SWAP in other to.
This may be a logical distribution,no?
More thanks
