it is not possible to determine a batch

hi sap mentor,

i am having an issue with my batch det functionality that is in_ sales order i am getting this message in the status bar in green(it is not possible to determine a batch),

i 've done relevant configuration as per the building block J19

AND WHEN I TRY TO assign a batch manually again there is a error message

The system did not find any selection criteria for material 748, batch 0000000151

Message no. V2097

Procedure

Check the selection criteria and, if necessary, change the batch search strategy.

i am also not able to understand what is the selection criteria in the above error

is it the selection grp field in strategy type,in case if it is then i have mentioned relevant entry

while doing msc1n i assign a class in the classification tab page but when i come in msc1n in change mode the same field is blank that means i believe it is not able to contain the field.

correct me if i m wrong and

please revert asap

Hi Mohit

Check in MMR wheather you have checked the feild batch determination or not . Also check in MSC2N for the material ,wheather you have maintained LIFO,FIFO

In MMR- Class type-023 for batch

Check whether you have assigned class to this Material in Classification tab or not?

if assigned,

Goto Condition Record-VCH2, enter the strategy type & execute

select the record & click on " Selection Criteria"--

test n revert
