Hello Friends
Can anyone pls let me know what is exactly the difference between DP Key figures and SNP Key figures
Thanks !!!
Hi Rakesh
The key figures are basically of two types; viz. Time Series and Order Series key figures.
DP can use only time series key figures and the data for these is stored in the times series liveCache.
SNP can use both time series as well as order series key figures. The order series key figure data is stored in order series liveCache.
The order series key figure data is actually in the form of orders eg. planned orders, production orders, purchase requisitions, stocks etc.
The time series data eg. sales history, forecast etc. is used in DP.
When forecast is released from DP to SNP it is released from the time series key figure used for demand plan to an order series key figure usually FA or FC. Thus forecast orders are created in SNP or PPDS against which the planning is done.
In SNP planning books the order series key figures would have quantities or values representing the order categories which have been maintained against these key figures. eg. You could have FA and FC clubbed into a single category group used for the key figure Forecast. In such a case the values for FA and FC would be clubbed together for the particular period buckets in the forecast key figure in the planning book.
Hope this would clarify your query.
Thanks

Hi Rakesh,
DP Key figures represent the Quantity, Amount and Number values pertaining to
Demand Planning Process where in
SNP Key figures represent the Quantity, Amount and Number values pertaining to
SNP Process
DP Key figures represent always Time series and Order series key figures will
not be present in DP wherein it is not the case with SNP which works on Order
series key figures
Both DP & SNP key figures are stored under livecache
DP Key figures typically represents historical values, forecast, orders, demands
(transactional data) which will be useful to get planning results for execution.
SNP Key figures typically represents current stocks, Production Orders, Planned
orders, Distribution demands, Distribution receipets etc., which will be useful to
arrive at executable demand. (transactional data)
Hope it is clear now

Hi,
Mostly the DP key figures are Time series KFs and SNP key figures will have both Times series and Order series KFs.
