Combine Orders/Delivs into 1 SHIPMENT - Logic ?

Hi Experts,

I want to know the SAP logic on how and when can deliveries / orders be combined into 1 Shipment.

Currently in my SAP system, for shipment type 0001 -Indiv.Shipmt - Road, SAP lets me combine delveries from different shipping points and different ship to party's into 1 shipment. What is SAPs logic on this ? When will it let me combine and what factors are considered before combining ?

You can combine deliveries,

where route / Shipping conditions should be same.

Hi Ron,

This is for transportation purpose.

Multiple deliveries following a similar route can be planned together for transportation. You can plan the shipment route such that all pick up points and drop points are covered and transportation is carried out efficiently with minimum costs.
