Hello,
I am wondering if there is a possibility to set a parameter for smartforms to have the allotted printer staple the printed form.
Has anybody got an idea or experience towards this tasks?
Cheers
Ana
Ana,
I found the easiest way to be to have it controlled by the spooljob.
you set the printer to staple based on spooljob.
then you:
1) open spooler
2) print your form or multiple forms you want to staple together.
3) close the spooler (this will then trigger the stapler)
Another option is to use the PCL code so you need to start using the ESC sequences. I found that to be more tricky
Let us know how/if this works for you!

The conclusion is : it depends totally on your printer model.
It means that you can achieve stapling only using print controls for calling printer specific commands, usually in PJL language.
You have to check manufacturer documentation which provides you the PJL commands.
You may also look at note [Note 772999 - Private printing on HP LaserJet printers|http://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/772999] which is consulting for another printer specific function.
