Automatic Bin Determination Problem

Dear Experts

Hope all of you doing well.

I am Facing Problem with T.Code LT04 ( Below are the Senario)

At the time of Post LT04 Transaction system not picking Source Storage Bin Automatically

"Error Message : System cannot find source Storage Bin"

Material Master Maintained with Storage Bin

And at Intial screen of LT04 there is not option for F4 ( in storage Bin coloum )

For that reason user every time has to put Storage Bin No Manually

Is there are any option available in customization that system automatically detremined Storage bin

Please help me in this regards

Please remove the mixed storage value and press ENTER.

If this does not work, please remove the SUT check and SU management flags.

Then the error should go away.

Then al the flags and values cleared can be set again.

You could also try to set the storage section check and remove it along with the others if the above does not work.

A mix of the settings help us correctly set for fixed bin strategy.

If you continue to receive error  " If you have st.pl.str. "Fixed bin", the area check must not be active", check to see if "Storage Ser.Check Active" is marked.  If yes, then remove check mark and save.  Then go to Activate Storage Section Search in Strategies, click Activate, find WNo/SType and place "X" under Section Check to reactivate the checkmark you removed in Storage Type config.  Go back to SType config and see that checkmark reappears in Storage Ser. Check Active.

So, You should also have maintained fixed bin in WM2 view.

Now, check whether RK1 has Storage section check active? If yes, what is the section given in search OMLZ?

check whether same section is given in that fixed bin. Now only concentrate on your fixed bin. forget about other 50 bins.

Yes fixed bin has been maintained in MW2 View

Storage section check is not active for RK1

( If I want to make it ticked ( Storage section check active) now system give the error message like " If you have st.pl.str. "Fixed bin", the area check must not be active" )

In OMLY transaction under its maintained as under

CWH RK1 001 0 F01 S01 T01

CWH RK1 002 0 T01 S01 F01

CWH RK1 F01 0 F01 S01 T01

CWH RK1 S01 0 F01 S01 T01

CWH RK1 T01 0 T01 S01 F01

( WHNO-CWH , STOG.TY-RK1 , FAST MOVING - 001 , F01-Rack Fast-moving for CWH , S01-Rack Slow-moving for CWH , T01-Rack Total Sec for CWH

Then maintain RK1 indicator in Material master WM1 view. Give RK1 for Both Stock removal & Stock placement indicators.

Now system will pick up 001 storage type & not RK1. See that bins exist in 001 storage type .

At present lot of materail master are maintained with storage type RK1, so change in storage type is not possible now bcoz all development now in Production server and daily transaction is going on.

as per your suggestion u have maintained RK1 in WH1 view( Picking storage type .... but for stock removal and stock placement RK1 is not available its only show me following option

001 Raw materials (HRS)

002 Shelf goods

004 Block storage mat.

007 Pallet goods

010 HRS with SU mgmt

012 Bl.stor.with SU mgmt

Please suggest

Then maintain search strategy in OMLY transaction as shown.

CWH " " RK1

Previously you have

CWH RK1 001 0 F01 S01 T01

Now maintain strategy without any indicators like RK1.

Only one line will do.

Yes we want to use fixed bin strategies

RK1 is Fixed storage Type

and I already maintained Putaway strtegies is F

and more then 50 storage bin already created under storage type RK1

Storage Type is RK1 - High Rack Storage

In Material Master Stock Placement indicator not maintained

But in Serach stategies its maintained (i.e- 001-RK1.BK1 and OP1)

Please suggest if any changes required in customization

What is the strategy of RK1? Is it Fixed bin?

I am asking you why you have maintained bin in material master WM2 view? Do you require fixed bin strategy to be used?

Then why are you giving High rack storage RK1?

Now final solution:

Maintain Putaway strategy of RK1 as F.

OR

Create sufficient number of bins in RK1.
