Taxonomy Attributes Merge

HI there,

I am trying to merge to attributes in the Taxonomy mode. I can do this with no issues when I select attributes with less than 31 characters, however the OK button is grayed out and not available when attempting to merge attributes greater than 31 characters.

How can this be achieved, or is there some kind of character limitation for the attribute merge functionality?

Any help will be appreciated.

i not understant how you merge Attributes, because it not possable

You can sort attributes by name, by proirity, by link an by type

and use special search

What do you mean?

And wehere you get attribute lenght = 31 chars

i have text attribute lenght =128 chars

Hi there,

The functionality to merge attribute exists in MDM 7.1 and 5.1 according to training manuals.

here are the steps to merge attributes;

1. Select taxonomy mode

2. Select 2 attributes

3. Right click and select Merge

4. Merge screen will appear and you can no choose what you want to to merge

I have done a merge with less than 31 chars but when Ii exceed 31 chars the OK button is grayed out and I can not save the merge. I did a char count.

Thanks for your response.Sorry, i fogot about that functionality.

We use SAP MDM version 5.5.64.92 and attributes merge work fine for text fields length more than 31 chars.

Moreover, we cannot use that functionality(create one merged attribute from two) for attributes which already related to main table
