How to uninstall ASCS instance??

Dear Expert:

After I install an HA ASCS .....

and tried to install the first node.

it came out an error....

there are two questions~

1.Does the Failover Cluster Management-->Services and Applications name can include space or bland??(My service name is SAP PRD),I wondering it's the reason that cause error when install first node.

2.Because of that....I plan to change the server name to be like SAP_PRD and re-install the ASCS again.

but when I tried to uninstall it there was a error occured at the step 'Drop Instance'

??

can anyone tells me how to un-install the ASCS or what's wrong when I tried to install the first node??

Dear Experts,

I'm installing ERP production systems on MSCS of Windows 2008.

After successfully installing ASCS, I follow the section 7.4.5 of

installation guide to configure first MSCS node.

The sapinst starts smoothly but pop-up a error message after I input

password of system administrator. The error logs are below:

I can't find any solution on SAP Notes and SDN. Please kindly help.

Jack,

if I understand correctly the place where you are installing:

Failure phase "Configuring the First MSCS Node.

Your error is perhaps due to incorrect definition and assignment of IP addresses. Please check with your document phases

- IP Addresses in an MSCS Configuration

- Obtaining IP Addresses for MSCS

- Mapping Host Names to IP Addresses for MSCS

Please also double-check that you have all the groups active cluster (in cluster management console).

Before configuration is also sure that you have all the resource groups on node1.

In the event that you want to perform the installation again using a different name, then you can uninstall ASCS by SAPinst. Also make sure that deleted all SAP services from the OS.
