SAP NetWeaver 700 EHP2

Hi

I want to know when SAP Netweaver 700 EHP2 will be available. it is supposed to be released this quarter, can any body let me know the tentative dates ?

also, I can see only one video so far available in SCN about EHP2.

It is not listed in the service market place under ramp-up, so is the release postponed?

I have checked http://service.sap.com/releasestrategy and it seems like EHP2 (or Netweaver 7.2 as SAP calls it in this document...) will be released for rampup in December this year

Plans do change. This was posted in May and since then the timing of 7.02 has been moved out to align with the release timelines of the Business Suite Enhancement Packages.

I didn't actually see that listed in the page you linked to, but you shouldn't assume that NetWeaver 7.2 means 7.02. They are two completely different things. NetWeaver CE 7.20 will start ramp up in December. However this has nothing to do with the enhancement packages for 7.0 or the ABAP application server itself.

So here are the facts. 7.02 was delayed in order to line up with the release dates of ERP 6.0 EhP5, CRM 7.0 EnhP1, and SRM 7.0 EnhP1. It didn't make sense to release a NetWeaver Enhancement Package that wouldn't be certified to run on any release of the Business Suite. The new estimated timeline for the Suite Enhancement Package releases is Q2 of 2010. NetWeaver 7.02 will be the technology layer that sits under these Suite Enhancement Packages.

But NetWeaver development didn't take a holiday because they had extra time to wait for the release. They reopened development on 7.02 and have been adding in more features that originally would have had to wait for NetWeaver 7.03. In the end, 7.02 will be an even better release (espeically for Web Dynpro ABAP) thanks to the extra development time.
