Dear Experts,
I have a problem with SAP Solman 7.0 SP 16. I want to connect via RFC with the OSS. When I check the Connection in sm59 I get the following details:
Logon Connection Error
Error Details Error when opening an RFC connection
Error Details ERROR: partner not reached
Error Details LOCATION: SAP-Server sapxi_SSM_01 on host sapxi (wp 1)
Error Details DETAIL: NiPConnect2
Error Details CALL: connect
Error Details COMPONENT: NI (network interface)
Error Details COUNTER: 125
Error Details ERROR NUMBER: 10061
Error Details ERROR TEXT: WSAECONNREFUSED: Connection refused
Error Details MODULE: nixxi.cpp
Error Details LINE: 2823
Error Details RETURN CODE: -10
Error Details SUBRC: 0
Error Details RELEASE: 700
Error Details TIME: Mon Oct 26 12:35:32 2009
Error Details VERSION: 38
While configurating the RFC I followed the instructions of SAP or e.g. the last post in this thread:
https://forums.sdn.sap.com/thread.jspa?threadID=978466&tstart=75
My S-User and its PW are correct so I don't understand why it won't work.
I would be very thankful if someone could give me some tips where to look for the error.
Thanks and greetings
Marco
Hi Experts,
I am getting the same error while downloading EHP4 through Solution Manager.
Also i am getting one more error " current Ibase component is not an active Ibase" . Is there any connectivity in this both issues.
Please advise ..thanks in Advance

Hi Marco,
use transaction OSS1 to configure the connection SAPOSS.
You don't need to supply an S-User since OSS_RFC is used for that connection.
Does your company's sap router (which is connected to sapserv<x>) allow a connection from your Solution Manager? (check routtab SAP router)

hi,
Please check whether you are able to ping the host sapxi in the os level. If not maintain the host entries.
as a workaround, Try giving IP address instead of hostname in the technical settings.
Hope this helps.
Kindly revert for nay issues.
Thanks,
Jagan
