ME41: copy between docs with different document type

Hi,

we are trying to copy a RFQ (with "RPA" document type) to another RFQ (with "RFO" document type) by the transaction ME41. The system gives the following error message (06 033): "Reference doc. type RPA differs from doc. type RFO".

But the two document types have the same screen layout. According to us, the system should compare the document types AND the screen layouts, but now it checks only the document type.

The error is contained in program SAPMM06E, include MM06EF0L_LESEN_REFERENZ, line 53. The message cannot be declassed because it's hard coded ("MESSAGE E033 WITH REKKO-BSART EKKO-BSART.").

The enjoy transaction ME21N, for example, allows to convert a PO to another one with a different document type.

Can you help us? Is there a solution that avoids to modify standard code?

You can copy the RFQ of the same Doc type, You can not copy if the both RFQ's have diff Doc types.
