Hello All
Does Classic scenario support Plan driven procurement and Contract Management? Is there a particular business case where would would want to implement contract mgmt and PDP in Classic Scenario?
Thanks
Vijay
Hello Vijay,
sure you can use Plan driven procurement also in Classic Scenario. With SRM 7.0 Classic I would personally say that classic is the prefered scenario as some functionlity like Service Procurement with service hierarchies are only supported with Classic, not extended classic. SAP has shifted from Extended to Classic.
SRM 7.0 also support central contracts, created in SRM and they can, but does not need to be distributed to one or several ERP systems. These contracts can be used for sourcing in SRM, but also in all distributed ERP systems. So you could transfer unsourced requirements from ERP to SRM (PDP) and source them there. Another possibility is to use the so-called harmonised role where you can see documents from ERP and SRM and decided if you source them directly in ERP or transfer them to SRM and e.g. create an RFx or use the SRM Sourcing Cockpit.
best regards

yes. it is possible
PDP - you can bring backend PRs and source in SRM
Contract manageement - Create a GOA and distribute GOA to backend for Purchasing contract.
You can create a GOA for material / material group in GOA and utilise them in sc, pr for creating follow on documents
