Dear Gurus,
As we know that while sending the Transport requests to Production client,we first send Workbench request followed by Customization Request. Why we are sending the Workbench request first?

Jyothi.
This is not an SD question - you might want to ask this in Basis forum.
To my knowledge, there is actually no such requirement or rule. The transports are usually moved in the same sequence they're released. However, there might be some internal rules in each organization. Also in aparticular case, when the sequence of transports is important, the Technical Team must inform Basis of such dependency.
From my experience, the transports are moved in the release sequence, unless Basis is told otherwise.

Dear Friend,
As per my understanding, Workbench requests are generally Cross-Client changes & Higher level changes.
While Customising Requests are mainly Client specific request (e.g. new Sales Document type) & are at Lower level as compared to Workbench requests.
Thus it is necessary to transport Workbench Requests first followed by Customization requests...
Hope this helps...
Thanks,
Jignesh Mehta
