How to Prevent Network for Statistical WBS

Hi Gurus,

In one project structure, some WBS elements are Statiscal. I want the system to stop when somebody tries to create a Network for such WBS elements. As this statistical WBS elements will be used for assigning in Maintenance Orders, I cannot prevent flagging the Acct. assignment indicator. I checked the validation but in standard it looks it is not possible. Is there a standard way to achieve this ?

Hi Vinodh,

You can try using user status. For all statistical WBSEs create a user status called STAT. And for that status forbid the business transaction which will allow the assignment of networks. E.g Lock Assignment.

But ensure that this doesnt affect any other transactions that might be required later for Statistical WBSEs.

Thanks Kabir. I cannot use a userstatus because as I mentioned in my earlier post, I have to assign these WBS elements to Maintenance orders. If I block the assignment, it will not allow assignment of Orders.
