Hi,
If you want to change both Material Type and Industrial Sector for Material. As we cannot change both Industry Scctor and Material Type for existing material. You have to create new Material Master with required Material Type and Industry Sector by going t-code- MM01, give the same Material no. if it allows or otherwise keep it blank , select required new Industrial sector and Material Type.

Hi
I want to Change material type & Industry sector.
Changing the material type for a material is possible as it has been well explained by other friends
It is because a semifinished goods one material type can become a finished goods another material type
Changing the industry sector is not possible at all
Once industry sector is assigned to a material you cant change it at all

Hi Shashi Singh
Using t.code MMAM you can change you material type , but make sure that there are no stocks for this material . Secondly also check that there are no open sales orders
But it is advised to take help of your MM consultant as you are changing you created material to into different material type
