Channels are starting on its own

Hi,

We are currently on PI 7.0 SPS18. Recently we observed a strange behavior of communication channels .

Generally when we stop any channel manually, those channels remain stopped unless we start manually again .

However in this system we observed that the channels are starting on its own .When we stop these channels we ensure that these channels are in Manual Mode, but after some time when we check their status , we observe that thier mode is changed to 'Automatic' and they are in running state .

Has anybody experienced this behavior anytime. Please share your inputs .

Normally mode will not get changed automatically unless some manual intervention...

Checks the Administrator info about the CC ...

Hi,

Please ensure you have below configuration set for your communication channel.

1. Select Communication Channel in RWB

2. Check if 'External Control Off' disabled (grayed-out)

3. Data Control set to 'Manually'

4. For information on who has changed/modified the communication channel recently click on 'Administration Information' for this communication channel.

Hope this would help you in finding the reason.

I agree that

But this is what is happening in our case.There is no useful info in CC Adminstrator info.

It sounds strange , it can't change on its own, first remove authorization from the users (of change the control data)

make external control off.. , put it on manual control

then check CC history/administration info... monitor/analyse the system logs.

What is the mode you using in Communication channel,if you slect your communication channel configured in Active Mode then its starts autmatically,check once your configration and let me know.
