Java Instance Does not Start :Error Can't attach to message server

Hi ,

Please check the follwoing log and suggest! I am on the Step 36 of 39 while installing BI Java Stack instance on a server where a BI ABAP stack is already up and running

Hey,

Just to add some more information to the same

This System is on Windows 2008 server, MS SQL Server 2008. This system has already got a BI ABAP (Development) Instance up and running. This is a new instance which we are trying to install for Java.

Rest of this information related to the error being faced and the log is provided in the messages above.

Please suggest!

Hello Vijay,

Please check if the central instance and the message server for Java are running.

Open the file /usr/sap/[SID]/SCS[XX]/work/dev_ms and review it. It will show you if the message server has started and what the ports of the message server are.

Then check if the message server port and host that the j2ee engine is using are correct. Open the dev_jcontrol file and refer to the following lines

-> ms host : nspad395

-> ms port : 3901
