Hi,

I read both forums and the answer seems to be this:

SAPService<SID> has no permissions to create the shared memory segment

But I don`t know how to give those permissions

Any clue?

Solution

Step 1

Check if the AS Java user SAPService<SID>:

u2022Windows: is in the Administrators group

u2022UNIX: has the required permissions to create/access the shared memory segments

Step 2

Grant the needed permissions to the SAPService<SID> user if necessary.

Step 3

If the user already has the right permissions, report the problem. and add this information:

u2022AS Java does not start

u2022attach the Startup Framework logs

u2022a link to this page
