Hi
We have a need to directly integrate XI 3.0 ( SP23 ) with another Pi 7.1 ( SP7 ).
Can we use XI adapter type to do this communication - has anybody out there done this and not faced issue using XI adapters to do this owing to this version difference between the two xi server ? Can you please share your experiences ?
( I do know that XI adapter is used and the recommended way to make two XI boxes talk to each other- but just concerned about the fact that the version difference might cause an issue )
You can use XI 3.0 adapter. It is compatible. I used it & didn't have any issues.
OR
You can try using SOAP Adapter. B'cos scenario's built on PI are service enabled.

Hi ,
XI adapter is the best option.Using SAP PI server host and port you can able to send message to integration engine directly
its supports Transport level security and message level security with in the communication between two SAP PI systems.
but there is no limitaion even you can go for SOAP.

RAJ
