Hi ,

Any one have idea :SAP come up with extraction object of Employee, I didn't see in our ECC6.0 , except this there are many extraction objects for customer, material , bupa etc..Pls. let me know if you have any idea on this for getting employee extraction object.

we are trying to extract the employee master data thru MDM_CLNT_EXTR from HCM...

if SAP is not provided this object then what is the other way to create extraction object for extract Employee master data, can guide me step by step..

what is the MDMGX vs MDM_CLNT_EXTR? How both can work for our scenario

our scenario is:

ECC(HCM)6.0->PI7.0--->MDM7.1, this scenario follows initial loads and after delta loads...

thanks for your time and will hear you from expertise responce back in soon..

Hi Shankar,

MDM_CLNT_EXTR doesnt provide an option to extract Employee master data .

And MDMGX is used to extract only reference data for MDM Lookup tables.

You extract employee master data from SAP R/3 and ERP remote systems using transaction PFAL

(ALE Distribution of HR master data).

Please refer to SAP Note :1268212 for more details (see attachments in note as well) . This note should help you to some extent.

Hi Shankar,

PFAL works using ALE (Application Link Enabling). ALE is a technology which enables data exchange between systems using Idocs.

Usage of PFAL for lookup table extract might need developing customised Idocs (not sure about the extent of efforts required for this). However, MDMGX is best suited for lookup table refresh and can be automated for schedules runs without much effort.
