How can we send SMS from R3 to my mobile phone

Hi,

I am trying to send a SMS from R3 to my mobile phone. I got some info from help.sap.com but not able to proceed. Typically i want to write a FM which will accept my mobile phone number and will send a short message.

Hi Vinay,

We currently integrate our SMS application to SAP ERP, for BMP processes and campaigns.

Do you still need this application.

option1. thru SMS gateway

option2. email to SMS

option1 = > there are some free SMS providers using which i have posted a sample weblog - check it out

for production systems you (your compnay) would want to work with one of the mobile phone companies in your country and get a SMS gateway.

option2. Some mobile phone operaters provide a facility where you just send a email to the phone numbers and that will be sent to the phones as SMS message. something like an email to <countrycode><mobilephonenumber>@mobileserviceprovider.com
