CUP and Active Directory

Hello,

We will be using Active Directory with CUP and then provisioning that information into SAP. The question is what informaiton can CUP pull from AD to provision into SAP. I found the fields below in the GRC configuration guide as fields that can be provisioned to SAP but can these fields be linked to AD to pull the information from if the user exists in SAP and all the information below is populated in AD? Also, is it possible to create custom fields in CUP to link up with AD?

Business Area, Company Cost Center, Department Email Address, Functional Area, Job Location, Manager Email, Manager FName, Manager ID, Manager LName, ManagerTelephone, Org. Unit, Personnel Number,Position, Request Category, Request Reason, Request Reason Requestor Email Requestor FName, Requestor ID, Requestor LName, Requestor Telephone,

SNC, Telephone Number, Unsecured SNC Logon, User FName User, ID User LName, User End Valid Date User Start Valid Date

Thanks

Julie

YES, Julie. For all of your questions the answer is 'YES'.

You can bring any all the User related information from AD to CUP using LDAP mapping and then using provisioning mapping you can provision those fields into backend SAP system.

Julie,

As Alpesh says, you can connect any field in AD with any field in CUP as long as you know the individual field references.

Just make sure that you know the true purpose of each though since you could easily think that a field is for one purpose only to find that other people in the organisation use it for something completely different. That could then really mess up the consistency of data!
