Deletion of Vendors not possible in SRM server

SRM 5.0; R/3 46C; Classic Scenario

Hello everyone,

We have finished upgrading to SRM 5.0. We have run the report BBP_XPRA_ORGEH_TO_VENDOR_GROUP to migrate the vendors to its own structure.

But because the SRM data is a copy of the production data and does not match the R/3 test data, we need to erase the SRM vendors completely and replicate them from R/3.

First off, we are using the report BUPA_TEST_DELETE to do this task. However the message says:

"E BBP_BUPA 317

Partner 0000125101 exists in shopping carts; Deletion not possible

E BBP_BUPA 242

Partner 0000125101 exists in documents. Deletion not possible"

How do we delete all the Shopping Carts/related documents for example? Basically we need to purge/totally erase all old production data in the SRM Server. What are the proper steps to erase the

vendors and recopy them from the R/3 side?

Thank you for your help as always.

-Jay

Hi Jay,

the only way to delete old documents and Business Partner is to run archiving.

You should try transaction SARA to run archiving steps.

Store or not the archiving data files.

And the last archiving step will erase the data.

Hi Jay,

You should be able to do a system copy without data.

Ask your basis people.

Kind regards,

Hi Yann,

I had couple of follow-up questions.

1. Exactly what does it mean to do a system copy w/o the data? I asked my Basis person but he wasn't too sure - we need all the configuration and Badis and programs. Is this possible to do in a system copy?

2. I still need to erase the vendors because the DEV has already been upgraded. Do you have any ideas?

Thank you.

Hi Jay,

In that case, you will nedd to apply Christophe proposition : archiving then delete vendors

Of course, all open processes have to be closed before you can archive.

Kind regards,

Yann
