Dear all,
We are trying to install a new IDES system ABAP+JAVA. ECC6 included EHP4.
We are using IDES Master Installation SR3.
In SAPINST we first choose the entry "Enhancement Package 4 for SAP ERP 6.0 > SAP Application Server ABAP > Oracle > Central instance"
This step ended successfully!
Then we go ahead with the next step
"Enhancement Package 4 for SAP ERP 6.0 > SAP Application Server Java > Oracle > Central instance"
Here we get below message at the begining of the installation in step "define parameters":
"SAP system T51 is an ABAP or ABAP+Java system. Cannot switch this to a Java standalone system."
Is it normal to get this message? How should we proceed to install an abapjava system since there is no more ABAPJAVA entry in SAPINST?
We understand that we first have to install the abap part and then the java but it does not work.
For the Abap installation we have choosen system ID T51. Do we have to choose another system ID T52 for the java part? Note that we do not want to use a standalone java system.
Thanks a lot in advance for your help!
Best Regards,
Olivier
Hi Olivier,
For Business Suit 7 system in which ECC 6.0 EHP4 also comes, for new system installation you cannot install a dual stack system.
You have to install ABAP and Java system separately with different SID.
For more information, check SAP Note 855534 - Dual Stack and SAP Business Suite 7
Thanks
Sunny
