SAP License Key missing

Hi,

I am in weird situation. I am upgrading from NW7-SPS18 to Ehp1-SPS5. While doing so, in "Down time" phase, system could not come back, as license is missing. currently only shadow instance created by upgrade process is running. My real client is not able to come up. I searched libsapcrypto.so file in all instances exe and also sapmnt..this file is missing.

I got new temp License from Sap market place. However, the shadow instance which does not accept the license,. Also, I could not bring up my client.

Is it possible to apply the license file from Unix level? If so, how to upload the license file.

Currently I could not continue my upgrade. I already submitted mesg to SAP for help.

Hi,

delete all licenses through Tcode SAPLICENSE (Subsequently released "installation number"). After the release of the old licenses, request for new license through Service Marketplace "https: / / service.sap.com / licensekey" and import it over Tcode SAPLICENSE.

Yes, its possible... use command saplicense -install read all the details here,

Sap license can be installed from OS level on earlier release. But for latest release the licese files comes in encrypted format so as per my knowledge it cannot be installed through OS.
