Can someone - anyone - please tell me where the darn documentation actual resides for the installer tool? It was mentioned in other threads as Installation Guide - SAP Enhancement Package Installation(SAPehpi).pdf , but I can not find it through searches or anything. Why can't SAP just have the darn documentation links easier to find?

I was also in same dillema before starting EHP1 for netweaver & after reading these threads i completed the EHP1 upgrade succefully .::

I don' t see where anything here directly tells me how to install (location etc.) the installer itself and then how to us it. Also, we are looking and using this to install the SAP NW BW 7.01 ehnacement Package. We have never installed or used the SAPehpi installer tool before, but it appearst to be required now. Is it's specfific instructions buried in these other manuals?

Hi Bryan,

It's very easy.

Do below steps to start EHPI tool:

1) Make your upgrade directory.

2) Extract SAPehpi SAR file in that.

3) Also, download jaya cryptographic file.

4) Go to <upgrade directory>/EHPI Use below command to run it:

STARTUP jce_policy_zip=<policy file name>

5) In another window:

go to <upgrade directory>/EHPI/sdt/exe

Run DSUGui

All these instructions you can find in upgrade guide on SMP.

Go to this link for all EHPi docs (need s-user id):

You will also find troubleshooting guides there.

If that link didn't help, try this:

1. Go to https://websmp210.sap-ag.de/instguidesNW70

2. In the installation section, click on "plan and install"

3. In here, within the section "Installation - SAP NetWeaver Systems", you will find the link to the doc for "Installation Guide - SAP NetWeaver 7.0 including EHP 1".

4. Within "Installation - SAP NetWeaver Systems" section you find other files too. To find EHPi related docs, click on link "Enhancement Package Installation on Existing SAP Systems". Here you will find all EHPi related docs depending on your scenario (ABAP or ABAP+Java or Java).

I am Facing a problem in EHPi installation,

when i start jce policy it say

This script must be executed by a sidadm user.

Can you please help me to resolve it.
